Choose an AI Model for Game Development
Vibecade lets you choose from a curated model lineup inside the editor. The best choice depends on the job you are doing right now.
A practical way to choose
Section titled “A practical way to choose”Use faster models when you want:
- a quick first draft
- small UI or copy edits
- fast iteration on simple mechanics
- cheaper exploration
Use premium models when you want:
- stronger planning on larger changes
- better handling of longer or more detailed prompts
- deeper refactors
- higher-stakes polish work
You can switch mid-project
Section titled “You can switch mid-project”You do not need to keep the same model for the entire life of a game.
A common pattern is:
- Use a fast model for early exploration.
- Switch to a premium model for larger redesigns or polish.
- Switch back when you want faster follow-ups.
Image input depends on the model
Section titled “Image input depends on the model”If you want to upload reference images, use a model that supports image input. If image upload is unavailable, the model you chose may not support it.
Reasoning settings
Section titled “Reasoning settings”Some models expose a reasoning setting in Vibecade. Higher reasoning can help with larger or more complex requests, but it can also make turns slower and cost more credits.
A good default is:
- low or medium for normal feature work
- higher reasoning only when you are asking for a bigger architectural change
Plan access matters
Section titled “Plan access matters”Plan access affects what models you can use.
- Free plans focus on fast models and public projects.
- Paid plans unlock premium models, private projects, and larger credit pools.
Because the lineup can change over time, the source of truth is always the model picker in the editor and the live pricing page.
